Yeah, unfortunately as a kid I made the wrong choice of having a copywritten song to play during the credits.
It was my first animation and I was trying to be the cool guy and being all like "Look, I listen to this too!" (Which I remember someone said they voted a 3 or so because of it, so apparently it worked.. haha)

Anyway, I didn't consider this an issue or predict the event that is currently happening to a lot of users. The event being that there seems to be a lot of issues with copyright laws. I didn't make a movie and sell it, I just made something for free. This made me believe that using a random song by a band wouldn't be problem but that has proved to be false. I actually forgotten about the animation until now, I mostly been inactive on here. The reason why I left for a while is because I felt the site has become too soft at times and often I see stuff that makes it past judgement when in my opinion shouldn't of. I understand if people want to share animation test and all, but there does exist an animation forum for that, and you can post it there.

But yeah, unfortunately my cartoon was taken down. But, I completely understand the reason and have to take responsibility for it. I recently sent a message to Tom seeing if I can receive the SWF file and replace the music myself.

And yes, it might of not been that great of an animation, but it had a bit of a meaning to me. So I am hoping I can rescue it.

Edit: Apparently another animation was removed that I made for Christmas as well...

Update: Got it back up now :D

This is a neat video. The whole idea of it was that they had up to 1500 people develop a small 15 minute or less segment of The Empire Strikes Back. However, the focus was not on live action alone, people were allowed to use any type of animation or video content in any way they wished, they could use puppets, 2D/3D animation, whatever it took to finish their segments.

I'm not sure how the collaboration was developed  during the collaboration, but apparently up to 480 segments were to be combined to develop a full movie version of the submissions. It's The Empire Strikes Back movie with a twist. Sort of an experimental film.

It's cool seeing all the different ways the contributors used to achieve their goal, along with the different ways they attempted to develop the digital effects and otherwise. Some would do their best to completely mimic the segment shot by shot, others decided to go with their own ideas..... Some used puppets, others animated, and more...

Plus its not a full imitation, some segments throw in gags or jokes, or a funny twist on the scene.
For example, in the asteroid scene someone made it seem like a game of asteroids.
I could name more stuff than that because the astroid gag itself is not that original but I do not wish to spoil the video.

Apparently it is even approved by Star Wars itself, because it is on the Star Wars channel.
I'm not sure if they were the ones who started it or not....
I would love it if there were more collaborations like this for other movies...
Hell, I hope they do Episode Six as well.

Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or not, it's pretty neat to check out.
Give it a watch if you have some spare time.
Perhaps they will have another contest you can contribute in.

I know it's a day early, but Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.
Glad to see the return of winter.

Here is a clip from one of my favorite old christmas classics

What did you or do you hope to get for Christmas?
I just want to have a day with the family

So it's that time of year again. The first day of Spring and I'm a little bummed out. Winter is my favorite time of the year and its a shame to see it go. I love the snow, the cold and not to forget the holiday season.

I could never get tired of winter, its always been my favorite season. But, if all we had was winter I suppose that would be rather bad. The main reason why I love winter is how different it is compared to all the other seasons.

Oh well. Here's to the start of Spring and everything ahead.1302381_139562335643_BeerToast.jpg

While we are on the subject, what's your favorite season and why? Or if you just wanna talk about whatever, that's cool too.

All joking aside, thank you for wishing me a happy birthday. I made this as a joke because I didn't have a birthday thread and suddenly I had one, and I even got a message wishing me a happy birthday from Tom himself.

I absolutely love this site, and you guys really do keep me going whenever I'm down. You're all awesome, each and every one of you.

So my birthday is in coming up in 11 days, March 6th as a matter of fact. And well, time sure does fly. One day you're playing Banjo-Tooie, drinking koolaid, and having a hot-pocket. (That is what I did one summer)  And the next day life finally slaps you in the face. You can't always try to have fun and be silly forever, sometimes you just gotta grow up.

Lately, I haven't been active on here. I said about a year ago that I plan on starting to upload content but I never got around to it. The reason is because I'm not sure if I should keep doing it or not. Right now, I live with my parents and work at a lousy job that offers very little hours. But its the only job that I could find. Sometimes when I try to animate, it almost feels like its a waste of time because its not gonna help me financially, and that pretty much kills the magic.

It's not about money, it never was about money. But, money is what is required to make a decent living in this world and sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. It would be like if you were unemployed and loved playing video games. You're not gonna get a job by playing video games all day, and you just gotta take the time away from that in order to make time to look for a job. Or learning new things so you can persue a better career.

I'm sorry for anyone who has expected content from me. Life just has really been bringing me down. I hope someday to make a new start, and maybe begin to make a living using what I can do, like so many other users have done. I have been making content but it's not really NG worthy. It's just a couple of SFM content, poking fun at the TF2 trailers. 70% of the content isn't my original work so I'm not sure if that would be fair. If you would like to see some of my stuff, you can find it all here.

2d animation has sort of become a bit of a bore to me. Most of my stuff is TF2 parodies made in SFM on youtube, mainly because I have grown to really like 3d animation. I don't want to say that I'm giving up 2d animation, but I just don't seem as good as I used to be at it. To the point where I am unimpressed and sort of lose interest because I can't achieve the look I am trying to go for.
I am currently trying out blender and sfm. I am trying to import my own models in SFM and start making animations in that.
I'm sorry if people were expecting a lot more from me this year, but things have come up and just made being able to animate a little more difficult. I hope to be more active soon.

Dear Microsoft, If you're going to release an HD remake of Crazy Taxi, you don't release it without the original soundtrack and licensed content.
Forget it, someone find me a working gamecube or dreamcast.

I'm gonna be honest, 2012 was one of the worst, dullest years of my life. I didn't animate or anything, and I didn't really get a lot done with my personal life. In a nutshell, mostly just looking for work.
I looked for a job, that's how I spent my year.

So here I am, ready to make a fresh start and hopefully return to doing some animations as well.
It's not that I don't have the time for animation or nothing, its just that I've been lazy and haven't really been doing anything.
I don't really have any ideas and such, or i might just not feel like doing it.

I hope to switch back into animation mode soon.

For the first time in my life, I have worked 14 hours straight. And...I really am just glad that its over with.
What's the longest shift you ever worked?
